Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-approved water quality standards for salinity consisting of numeric criteria and a plan of implementation for salinity control for the Colorado River System.

Since the issuance of the Review, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has initiated. Water Ouality Standards for Salinitv, Colorado River Svstem, approved on by the seven-state Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum.

Subsequent to the May approval, two regional public meetings were held to provide an opportunity for those who desired to present comments or suggestions on the report.

The Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum (Forum) in accordance with the requirements of the Clean Water Act, prepared the “ Review, Water Quality Standards for Salinity, Colorado River System” (Review).

The Review reported that by a target of million tons per year of salt will need to be diverted from entering. The reports are titled “ Review—Water Quality Standards for Salinity—Colorado River System” (June ) and Supplemental Report (October ) (Forum’s Reports).

The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) held a Public Hearing on April 5, regarding the Forum’s Reports and completion of the Triennial Review.

(Clean Water - Act) by the seven-state Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum (Forum) on behalf of the governors of their respective states.
